FOR THOSE PLANNING TO PARTICIPATE IN TOMORROW'S MLK PARADE (In Los Angeles)!
*Please forward to anyone you know who plans to march in the parade*
Hello everyone,
I wanted to update everyone regarding the groups decision about whether to march in the parade or not if it rains. The answer is YES! The overwhelming majority of the group voted to walk in this years parade come rain or shine!
MORNING OF THE PARADE
Remember, please be in front of Lucy Florence (3351 W. 43rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90008) by 8:45am on Monday morning so we can begin shuttling folks to the front of the parade. Leave yourself ample time to find parking because it will difficult to find parking in the community that morning. Bring at least 5 dollars in quarters in case you have to park in the public lot...if it's even open and available.
DRESS TO STAY WARM
Wear your whites like previously decided but stay warm! If you don't have white pants, please wear blue jeans to stay warm. Dress to keep warm and healthy in the weather. The ponchos being donated are bright multi colors-some red, orange and yellow.
RIGHT AFTER WE WALK-PARTY OVER HERE!
We will be uniting at Lucy Florence for refreshments and laughs directly after we finish walking in the parade.
See you all Monday morning,
Here to Stay Coalition, Member of the MLK Day Parade Contingent Planning Committee
